THE DEFINITION OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL VISCOELASTIC STATE OF WOOD DURING THE DRYING PROCESS CONCERNING THE CYLINDRICAL ANISOTROPY

Abstract


The influence of moisture transfer processes on the stress state of wood based on cylindrical anisotropy of heat mechanical properties is considered. We have implemented a formulated mathematical model of timber deformation during drying process which enables identification of two-dimensional intense-deforming state under the conditions of non-isothermal humidity transfer. Some new laws for the influence of technological parameters on visco-elastic deformation and mass transport for the process of drying of wood taking into account the cylindrical anisotropy are defined. The results of numerical experiment are described and also the distribution of radial and tangentially stress in wood depending on changes mass transfer is analysed.
