SEASONAL DYNAMICS OF RESIN PRODUCTIVITY OF SCOTS PINE (PINUS SYLVESTRIS L.)

Abstract


Seasonal dynamics of the effluence of resin by micro wounds in trees of different categories of resin productivity depending on the meteorological conditions of the environment is studied. Oleoresin character effluence is found to be largely dependent on the variability of the weather conditions, especially temperature. This trend was found in trees in all categories of resin productivity. However, high wood resin productivity is more responsive to variations in temperature and other factors of micro climate. Knowledge of the seasonal cycle of resin allocation has practical importance for the planning and optimization of production of resin tapping technological modes.
