THE INFLUENCE OF URBAN SOIL CHARACTERISTICS ON THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF HEDGES

K.V. Myronchuk

Abstract

Some physical – chemical and agrochemical soil properties studied under hedges that grow in the village of Berehomet and the city of Chernivtsi are identified. The impact of differences in soil acidic environment compared to the soil with a neutral reaction to the growth and development of hedges is described. Some profile characteristics and the distribution of mobile forms of mineral nutrients are specified. The indicators of soil properties that affect the growth of certain plant species are determined. The correlation between physical, chemical, and agrochemical indices of soil and growth of shoots of research hedges is analysed.
