THE STUDY OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN THE DRYING OF WOOD AS MULTIPHASE STRUCTURE

Abstract


A mathematical model of rheological behaviour of wood as a three-phase medium consisting of solid (woody matter), liquid and vapour phases taking into account the thermal anisotropy of mechanical properties, is presented. Based on the developed mathematical models and software applications dynamics of changes in temperature, moisture content, concentration of liquid, steam and vapour-air mixture and viscoelastic deformation of wood in the drying process. The regularities of technological factors of convective drying process for heat and mass transfer processes of wood of different phases are defined.
