Three-dimensional Representation of Images Using their Fractal Dimension

Abstract


Optical microscopes have found their application in different arias a long time ago: from medicine and biology to non-destructive testing on manufacture. The availability of digital cameras initiated new classes of tasks related to optical microscopes. At first we must highlight tasks of the automatic analysis of microimages. The progress of computer technology allow us to solver one of the most important tasks of automatic analysis – constructing three-dimensional models of objects on an image. In the document proposed an solution to constructing three-dimensional images with using of fractal dimensions. One of the main advantages of this solution is that we need only one input image for construction the relief of surface.
