Defining the Acceptable Temperature Conditions for Pressure Elevation in Main Gas Pipeline Sections

Abstract


A review of researches related to the study of the process of pressure elevation during filling the section of main gas pipelines is presented. A mathematical model of transient non-isothermal gas flow, which appears during the filling of main gas pipeline, is proposed. The probability of increasing the gas temperature above the acceptable degree that may result in the destruction of the insulation coating of the main gas pipelines as well as emergency situations may occur. The dependence between the degree of increasing inner product temperature and values of corresponding characteristics was researched. The number of nomograms for industrial use of the provided research results was developed.
