The Terpene Substances in Needles of Pine of Different Categories Resin Productivity

L.S. Osadchuk

Abstract

An experimental study of the terpene substances in pine trees needles of the different resin productivity categories by gas-liquid chromatography has been done. In trees of different categories resin productivity biosynthesis of terpene substances is different. Analysis of correlation dependences indicates a lack of clear relationships between resin productivity and terpene substances content in various categories tree resin productivity. The distribution of trees by categories resin productivity slightly affect the genetic structure responsible for the biosynthesis of terpene substances. The plus trees selection for resin productivity possible on the direct indication only by resin quantity from the wound.
