THE PROTECTION OF FOREST SOIL DURING MECHANICAL LOGGING PROCESSES IN THE FOREST AREAS OF THE BADEN-WURTTEMBERG (GERMANY)

Abstract


The methods of logging in the forest ecological systems that develop naturally according to the system of uninterrupted forest management with refusal of clear cutting and without soil sealing was analysed. The costs of logging methods are compared. All ways of logging influences on forest soil and efficiency of protection forest soils on the law level are defined. The importance of motor manual logging in forests with dominating of the system of uninterrupted forest management is noticed; the advisability of the combined logging in available for driving wood stands with the distance of 40 m between skidding ways through the cutting-out and hanging up in available limit of crane shaft in uncultivated intermediate block is observed.
