Focus and Scope

The journal "Scientific Bulletin of UNFU" publishes scientific and technical employee universities and scientific institutions of Ukraine, scientists from abroad, as well as specialists of forestry and woodworking industries, which highlight research results and features solve education problems, achievements excellence and manufacturing application of scientific achievements.

The issue relates to coverage of the journal in the fields, forest and landscape management; ecology, environment and sustainable development; technology and equipment forestry, timber production and related industries; Economy, planning and management; information technology; higher education.

Editorial policy is to publish a journal of the following discussion of innovative materials research authors from different countries on a wide range of forest science and woodworking industries, as well as related scientific fields.

Editorial journal is guided by the principles of scholarship, impartiality, professionalism and promoted the most important innovative research, compliance publishing ethics.

The feature of the journal of scientific works "Scientific Bulletin of UNFU" is to support young scientists works, including senior students and postgraduates. The full texts of English writing articles and extended summary in English is taught in the public domain in the site journal. The reason is not a complete journal of the English language is a focus on research in the field of forestry and timber production, which is closely linked to the research of many authors (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and others), and a wide interest in the publication of the journal manufacturers.

The purpose of the journal "Scientific Bulletin of UNFU" is the expansion of scientific publications and discuss ideas to modernize the field of forestry, timber production and related industries, as well as the involvement of the most important representatives of domestic and foreign scientific and professional community.

The task of the journal:

  • publication of scientific results from the expansion and modernization of research in the field of forestry, timber production and related areas of innovation in production;
  • expanding partnerships with foreign scientific publishing organizations;
  • improving the culture of review and annotation of material that must be published;
  • editorial ethics.

Peer Review Process

The decision on publication or rejection coming to the editor of the journal, takes the Editorial Board in accordance with the provisions of the review. Editors reserve the right to make editorial changes to the materials that come, to reduce them to reject manuscripts that are not relevant to the journal or improperly designed, carefully adhering to the rules of editorial ethics. Manuscripts rejected edited, not reviewed and does not return the authors. Reprinting material other publications published in the journal is not allowed. Author, submitting an article to the editor, gives its consent to its publication in the book "Scientific Bulletin of UNFU", placing the site journal, transfer text by third parties in order to enable the publication and citation index increasing citation and author of the journal.

 

Publication Frequency

Periodicity - 4-8 issues per year, from January to December each year.

 

Open Access Policy

The journal provides immediate open access to online-published paper. We support principles of free spreading of scientific information and global exchange of knowledge for the social progress.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Ethics publications

Publication of articles in the journal "Scientific Bulletin of UNFU" is an important part of a coherent and comprehensive system of knowledge in the field of forestry and wood production as well as in related industries. This is a direct reflection of the quality of authors and institutions that support them. Therefore editorial ethics of the journal – a set of rules, which are built relationships with members of the editorial board of external reviewers and authors on publications.

 

Anti-Plagiarism

Plagiarism – Attribution of authorship to someone else or work on someone else's discovery, invention or rationalization proposal and the use of their works in other people's work without attribution. Currently single, comprehensive and universally accepted definition of plagiarism does not exist. For example, the authors of one of the largest English-language resources to detect plagiarism "Turnitin" give the following definition of the term:

  • steal the idea or words of another person and give them their own;
  • use the work of another person without having the source from which they are taken;
  • in whole or in part to steal the artistic, scientific or other work or work and give them his;
  • present an existing idea or product as new and original.

Plagiarism with the advent of Internet network has become a serious problem. Once in a network of Internet, domain specific knowledge are all comply with copyright is becoming increasingly difficult, and sometimes impossible. More difficult is the identification of the original author. The rapid development of Internet network, along with increasing computer literacy, immerses plagiarism in various spheres of human activity. Plagiarism is a serious problem today in education, industry and the scientific community. Plagiarism misleading consumers research products detrimental to the author, and gives undeserved good plagiarists.

The editorial board of the journal "Scientific Bulletin of UNFU" condemns such forms of plagiarism:

Copyright

Copyright protection – one of the most important categories of the theory of civil and civil procedural law. Under the protection of copyright must understand the law provided for measures to their recognition, cease their violations apply to offenders measures of legal liability. Protection of moral and property rights of copyright carried out in the manner prescribed administrative, civil and criminal law. Article 19 of the Law "On Copyright and Related Rights" defines violations that give rise to copyright protection.

When submitting manuscript for publication in the book "Scientific Bulletin of UNFU," the authors agree that, should the article for publication, it can be placed in electronic databases with the obligatory indication of authorship and copyright notice in full by authors. The text of the work should be fully represented foreign sources of information – in the form of lists of literature sources (including own previously published work of authors). The authors of the manuscript are required to properly execute borrowing in the form of quotes or references. Any forms of plagiarism are unacceptable.

It is important to agree the rules of ethical conduct for all parties involved in the publication of the manuscript, the author (s), staff editors, reviewer, publisher and society.

Authors must:

  • provide novelty, accuracy and originality of the research results, all materials other authors draw with precise guidance of authors and sources;
  • avoid excessive borrowing and plagiarism in any form; avoid avtoplahiatu, ensure that the article is exclusive material has not been previously published or offered to other publications;
  • participate in the review.

Editorial staff must:

  • respectful and follow the correct attitude to the author and his research focus, keep editorial secrecy to prevent bad faith when processing materials;
  • not self-correct the author's text, the authors agree with the final version of the text after making editorial corrections;
  • not allowed to publish material if they have no scientific value, no match for the collection, contrary to its editorial policy and there is good reason to believe that they contain plagiarism or have been previously published in other publications;
  • provide objective and to attract competent reviewers to apply the practice of double (blind) review.

Reviewers must:

  • comply term review set edited;
  • treat received for reviewing the manuscript as a confidential document, do not provide it for review to other persons; also written reviews is confidential;
  • do not use unpublished data from the manuscript;
  • provide objective, reasoned and correct assessment of the findings of the study.
